Geo-test Engineering & Trading Co.
‘Geo-test Engineering & Trading Co’ is a unique name of a private company in Bangladesh. Hear is after called “Geo-test” started it’s a journey in 1995. Initially, it was based on Sylhet Region; North-Eastern parts of BANGLADESH. Day by day it’s goodwill, working volume expanded other parts of the country. For optimum service to our valuable clients, the company has been shifted its business office to the capital city Dhaka in 2005.
Since its inception ‘GEO-TEST’ steps in business with Civil Engineering Construction, Pile foundation construction, quality Control assistance, material testing, Sub-surface soil exploration, Non-destructive and destructive test on concrete, pile testing Instrument, calibration etc.
Sub-Soli investigations are performed by Geotechnical engineers or engineering geologists to obtain information on the physical properties of soil and rock around a site to design earthworks and foundations for proposed structures and for repair of distress to earthworks and structures caused by subsurface conditions. This type of investigation is called a site investigation. Additionally, Geotechnical investigations are also used to measure the thermal resistivity of soils or backfill materials required for underground transmission lines, oil and gas pipelines, radioactive waste disposal, and solar thermal storage facilities. A sub-soil investigation will include physical and Engineering properties of soil by subsurface exploration of a site and indoor laboratory testing.
Pile Integrity Test (PIT)
A pile is a slender element cast in the ground or driven into it. Since pile construction as well as the final product are mostly invisible, engineers have often questioned their integrity, i.e. their compliance with project drawings and specifications. In fact, experience has shown that in piles of all kinds flaws may occur. The purpose of integrity testing is to discover such flaws before they can cause any damage.Historically, pile integrity was investigated by direct methods. These included external methods such as excavation around the pile and internal or intrusive methods, such as core-drilling . While excavation may be effective in exposing flaws in the outer part of the pile, it is usually limited to a depth of a few meters. Core drilling, on the other hand, can be carried out to a large depth provides full information, but only for a very small fraction of the pile volume.
